Itinerary

Day 1  Amarbayasgalant

Start the day by heading north on a 5 hours drive through open grasslands to a remote Manchu-style monastery dedicated to the great Buddhist and sculptor Zanabazar. Spend the night in a ger camp.

Day 2  Murun Town

After breakfast we will to nearest in Lake Khuvsgul called Murun. On the way to Murun town we will stop at Selenge river to have picnic lunch and be the evening we will check in the Hotel in Murun town.

Day 3, 4  Khatgal

Today we checkout from our Hotel and continue our journey to the largest lake in Asia Khuvsgul.  For the next two days you able to horse-ride, kayaking and visiting the Tsataan, as the reindeer people are called.

Day 5  Shine Ider Town

Today we will drive from Lake Khuvsgul to the Central Part of Mongolia.

Our first destination in Central Part of Mongolia is White Lake.

In order to get to White Lake we will break our drive into two days. We will stop at Shine ider town which is located right between Lake Khuvsgul and White Lake.

Day 6  White Lake

Today we will visit White Lake which is located in the territory of the Arkhangai province. The lake is surrounded by extinct volcanoes such as Khorgo, Gichgene and Uran Dosh, that can be reached by hiking or by horse

 

Overnight in traditional Mongolian gers. (B/L/D)

Day 7  Tsenkher Hot Spring

Todays destination is Tsenkher Hot Springs (approximate 2 and half hour drive). If you are feeling a little bruised or achy from your travels, bouncing over Mongolian roads, then an hour or two in the springs is just the ticket for you.

Day 8  Kharkhorum

On day 8 we drive to the ancient capital of Karakorum, built by the legendary Genghis Khan in the 13th century. Ask your leader and drivers to tell you some stories about this great man on the way – he’s the nations’ hero after all! In Karakorum we visit the first Buddhist centre of Mongolia, the impressive Erdene Zuu Monastery

Day 9  Elsen Tasarkhai

On day 8 we drive to the ancient capital of Karakorum, built by the legendary Genghis Khan in the 13th century. Day 10  Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to the capital for last minute sightseeing. Opt to see a local cultural show, an excellent display of dancing and Mongolian throat singing. (B/L)
